Department of Justice Awards More Than $300 Million to Fight Opioid and Stimulant Crisis and to Address Substance Use Disorders

The Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs (OJP) today announced grant awards totaling more than $300 million to help combat America’s substance use crisis, which has worsened during the coronavirus pandemic.

Troopers Seize $153,000 Worth of Psilocybin Mushrooms, Marijuana and Psilocybin Tablets in Madison County

COLUMBUS – Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers filed felony drug charges against a Louisiana woman after a stop in Madison County. During the traffic stop, troopers seized 50 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms, 20 pounds of marijuana and 3 pounds of psilocybin-laced tablets worth approximately $153,000.Read full story

Governor DeWine Announces Launch of Demolition Program to Clean Up Blight in Ohio Communities

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) — Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jon Husted today announced the launch of a new grant program to help revitalize local communities through the demolition of blighted and vacant buildings.
