WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) spoke at the Nuclear and Emerging Technologies for Space (NETS) Conference in downtown Cleveland to highlight that the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Glenn Research Center in Cleveland is prepared to lead the country in space nuclear power and propulsion to embark on the next phase of space innovation.

Area Students Awarded Scholarships by KCH Auxiliary

 

The Knox Community Hospital Auxiliary recently awarded seven $1,000 health career scholarships to area high school seniors and college juniors and seniors. Students were considered based on their scholastic standing, community involvement, and financial need. Auxiliary scholarship committee members received and considered several applications before making their selections.

Nearly 2,000 Pieces of Ohio Personal Protective Gear Headed to Ukraine

(CLEVELAND, Ohio)— Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced today that nearly 2,000 pieces of personal protective equipment donated by Ohio law enforcement agencies will soon be delivered to Ukraine.

In response to a request from Governor DeWine in March, more than two dozen Ohio law enforcement agencies donated surplus or expired body armor, vest carriers, and helmets for use by members of the Ukraine civilian territorial defense as they resist Russian attacks.Read full story

AG Yost’s Health Care Fraud Section Earns National Recognition for Its Effectiveness

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) — A specialized team of Medicaid fraud investigators and prosecutors within Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost’s office has been named the top unit in the country by the U.S. Office of the Inspector General (OIG).

The award – the Inspector General’s Award for Excellence in Fighting Fraud, Waste and Abuse award – was awarded as a result of the Ohio Medicaid Fraud Control Unit’s performance in 2021.Read full story
