ODNR Division of Forestry Provides More Than $549K to Support Rural Ohio Fire Departments

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Forestry recently approved grant funding for 85 projects totaling more than $549,000 for fire departments in rural areas of Ohio through the Volunteer Fire Assistance (VFA) Grant Program.

2024 Spring Wildflower Bloom Report – Week 2

Welcome back to the Ohio spring wildflower bloom report! This past week was quite a nice one with warm temperatures and plenty of sun to further coax our native flora above ground. We expect things to continue to be a bit ahead of schedule after such a mild winter, but the wildflowers aren’t coming on too quickly, which gives us more time to enjoy each new appearance.

Visit a State Fish Hatchery beginning March 23

 

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife invites the public to visit a state fish hatchery during this year’s open houses to learn about fish production.
