Ohio Traffic Safety Office Awards Over $23 Million in Grants to Promote Safety and Reduce Crashes

 

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced today that the Ohio Traffic Safety Office (OTSO) has awarded over $23 million for statewide programming to improve traffic safety and reduce traffic-related fatalities. 

164 grants were awarded to 135 local agencies (62 counties) to support the efforts of safety partners statewide and focus on traffic safety priority areas, including impaired driving, seat belt usage, distracted driving, youthful driving, and motorcycle safety. Read full story

Findings for Recovery Totaling $3,175 Issued Against Former Pike County Convention and Visitors Bureau Officials

 

COLUMBUS – Findings for recovery totaling $3,175 were issued Tuesday against former officials of the Pike County Convention and Visitors Bureau over late fees and other improper expenditures, Auditor of State Keith Faber announced.

A finding totaling $2,518 was issued against Bruce Dailey, treasurer/acting director of the bureau, for business reimbursements issued without proper receipts or documentation, overdraft and late fees, and expenditures that could not be verified as serving a proper public purpose.Read full story
