Attorney General DeWine Offers Updated Information Regarding the Equifax Breach

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)—Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today offered updated information for consumers following the recent announcement by Equifax of a major data breach affecting over 5 million Ohioans.  Equifax, one of the nation’s three major credit reporting bureaus, has stated that their system was compromised between May and July of this year and includes names, Social Security numbers, birth dates, addresses and driver’s license numbers.… Read full story

Death of Infant Being Investigated

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Knox County Coroner’s Office and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, are investigating the death of a one-month-old infant. The initial caller indicated that his dog may have been involved. Deputies contacted personnel from the Knox County Dog Warden’s Office to remove two dogs from the residence.… Read full story

These quarter-sized jellies pose no risk to people; their nematocysts (stinging cells) are too small to penetrate the skin. Freshwater jellyfish originate from China and first appeared in the Great Lake region in 1933.
