2018 Community Foundation Scholarship Application Available, Due March 1st

The Community Foundation of Mount Vernon & Knox County’s Universal Scholarship Application for both traditional and non-traditional students is now available online at https://mvkcfoundation.awardspring.com. The 2018 submission deadline is March 1, with scholarship announcements in May.

Starting this year, the Universal Scholarship Application is only available through the online scholarship platform, AwardSpring. Requirements for the scholarship program as well as a guide for completing the online application can be found on the Community Foundation’s website, www.mvkcfoundation.org, under the “Grants and Scholarships” tab.

The Community Foundation will award more than $900,000 in scholarship assistance in 2018 through more than 125 scholarship funds. Since the majority of scholarships have a need-based component, students are encouraged to submit their F.A.F.S.A. Student Aid Report. There are, however, several Community Foundation scholarships which are merit-based only and do not require applicants to provide family financial information.
