Biomarker in Blood May Help Predict Recovery Time for Sports Concussions

Researchers at the National Institutes of Health found that the blood protein tau could be an important new clinical biomarker to better identify athletes who need more recovery time before safely returning to play after a sports-related concussion. Columbiana County Woman Pleads Guilty to Falsifying Voter Registrations

(LISBON, Ohio)— Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and Columbiana County Prosecutor Robert Herron announced today that an Ohio woman has pleaded guilty to charges relating to voter fraud in Columbiana County.

Rebecca Hammonds, 34, pleaded guilty this morning to 13 counts of making a false registration and one count of election falsification.Read full story

Telemarketers Accused of Running Work-from-Home Scheme, Faking Amazon Affiliation

(FREMONT, Ohio)—Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced a lawsuit against two telemarketing groups accused of running a work-from-home scheme.

Buckeye Impact Group LLC and Premier Design Group LLC are accused of misleading consumers and failing to deliver promised services. According to the lawsuit, they sold personalized websites and related marketing packages they claimed would allow consumers to work from home making $1,000 to $1,500 a month as an Amazon affiliate.Read full story
