Governor DeWine Announces Three State Projects Set to Create $180 Million in Investments

 

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)— Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jon Husted today announced the approval of three projects that will create 345 new jobs and retain 77 jobs statewide.

Dayton Woman Indicted for $1.5 Million Theft from Medicaid Program

 

(DAYTON, Ohio) — A Montgomery County woman, previously barred from serving as a Medicaid health care provider, has been indicted for yet again defrauding the Ohio Medicaid program, Ohio Attorney General Yost announced today.

Janay Corbitt, 36, was indicted by a Franklin County grand jury on eight felony counts:

  • One count of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity (F1)
  • One count of aggravated theft of $1.5 million or more (F1)
  • One count of identity fraud against a person in a protected class (F1)
  • Two counts of identity fraud (F2)
  • One count of Medicaid fraud (F3)
  • Two counts of forgery (F3)

Governor DeWine Supports Local Drug Task Forces with $2.1 Million in RecoveryOhio Funding

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)—Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced today that nearly three dozen local drug task forces in Ohio are receiving state support for their work to disrupt the drug trade and promote substance use awareness, prevention, and recovery.

More than $2.1 million in grants from Governor DeWine’s RecoveryOhio Law Enforcement Fund will be awarded to 35 existing drug task forces to help officers identify high-level drug traffickers, dismantle large drug trafficking organizations, interrupt the flow of money and drugs from international cartels, and prevent the sale of illegal narcotics.Read full story
