Offenses

January 11
Units were dispatched to West Gambier Street in reference to a disturbance. A male subject was arrested and transported to jail. Nothing further at this time.

January 13
An officer was dispatched to the Mount Vernon Police Department in reference to a fraud complaint. An investigation is pending, this report will be supplemented with any new information.

The Nazarene College reported that they found drugs and drug paraphernalia inside one of the residence halls. The items were collected and placed into the found property at the Mount Vernon PD to be destroyed at a later date. A report was filed.

An officer was dispatched to a business on Blackjack Road in reference to a stolen vehicle complaint. An investigation is pending, this report will be supplemented with any new information.

January 14
A business on Coshocton Avenue reported that a customer came into the business and used counterfeit money to purchase merchandise. A report was filed.

An officer was dispatched to a residence on Howard Street in reference to a theft complaint. An investigation is pending.

Units were dispatched to the 900 block of West High Street for a drug overdose. The person was transported to Knox Community Hospital without issue. Nothing further.

January 15
Officers responded to East Gambier Street in reference to an intoxicated female. A female individual was arrested and transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Units were dispatched to a burglary in progress on Arch Avenue. A vehicle that left the residence was located shortly after as well as the driver. Jeremy Savage was issued a citation for driving under failure to reinstate suspension.

January 16
An officer was dispatched to Franklin Street for a disturbance.
