Centerburg Health & Wellness Ribbon Cutting/Open House

The excitement throughout the building was palpable on Friday, January 13th, around 2 pm when nearly 100 people were gathered (with more entering in a continuous stream) to witness the ribbon cutting and grand opening of the new Knox Community Hospital Health & Wellness Center in Centerburg, Ohio.

The state-of-art facility, situated perfectly on the main corridor at 3595 Columbus Road, had been in process since late 2021. The location offers the added benefit of potential growth and expansion, as the community’s health and wellness needs become evident and may change over time.

As Knox County Chamber President Carol Grubaugh prepared the ribbon-cutting ceremony, comments were made by several key people:  CEO of Knox Community Hospital Bruce White, Board member Charlie Brenneman, Centerburg Mayor Greg Sands, Knox County Commissioner Bill Pursel, and Hilliar Township Trustee Gary Ross.

Tours were provided by KCH staff to give attendees a sneak peek at the facility which officially opens for patient care on January 23rd.  (Connections Fitness will open on January 17th).

According to hospital leadership, this is a 9M investment in the health of the Centerburg community, built with capital funds allocated by the hospital and generous donor support.

KCH strives to work with local partners, including the contractors and vendors who were involved in the construction. The general contractor was Equity Construction Solutions based in Hilliard, Ohio, and a number of other companies and suppliers were integral to the project.

While the people and organizations who have supported this project in a myriad of ways are too numerous to list, Knox Community Hospital is truly grateful for the outpouring of community support along this journey.
