Description
This role will be responsible for calling on customers in the Cleveland/Akron/Canton area.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Underwrite consumer indirect and direct loan applications, review credit criteria, evaluate consumer credit bureaus, approve/deny consumer loans within limits of lending authority. Underwriter primarily works independently, but on occasion will review applications with a Level II Underwriter or Regional Indirect Manager
- Provide underwriting support as needed to branch offices
- Executes underwriting objectives within Indirect Lending Administration including underwriting policies, procedures and guidelines, centralized dealer management, ongoing due diligence, compliance and fair lending, service standards
- Execute process to add new dealers and terminate dealer relationships
- Monitor and analyze reports from CRIF related to dealer activity, volume and delinquencies
- Establish working knowledge of competition in the indirect market
- Communicates possibilities for continual improvement and business development to regional
- Responsible for promoting indirect lending initiatives
- Participate in identifying, measuring, monitoring, controlling and mitigating departmental and enterprise-wide risks
- Maintain industry knowledge and complete ongoing training and development
- Maintain awareness of and adherence to Bank’s compliance requirements and risk management concepts, expectations, policies and procedures and apply them to daily tasks
- Deliver a consistent, high level of service within our Serving More standards

SCHEDULE
This position is hourly and full time. A minimum 37.5 hours is required to maintain eligibility for full-time status. Generally, this position will require 40-45 hours per week. Responsibility can span seven days a week and include extended hours and selected bank observed holidays.
A flexible work arrangement is available for this position. The position will require some scheduled onsite hours. Please speak to the hiring manager for more information.
EDUCATION – CERTIFICATIONS – WORK EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration preferred or equivalent work experience required
1-3+ years of prior experience with consumer lending preferred
Basic to intermediate knowledge of consumer lending policies, procedures, and regulations
Basic knowledge of other Park National Bank policies and procedures a plus
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Regularly scheduled travel to dealers and Park National Bank affiliate offices is expected as well as participation in community events
