Offenses

 

November 30
An officer responded to a threats complaint on South Lincoln Street.

An officer was patrolling the area of North Sandusky Street near Monroe Street. The officer observed two known individuals walking in the alley and one had an outstanding warrant. Nothing further at this time.

An officer was dispatched to Vernedale Drive for a suspicious person.

An officer received a phone call in reference to a fraud report.

An officer was patrolling the area of East High Street near North McKenzie Street. The officer observed suspicious activity from a green Jeep headed eastbound on East High Street. Nothing further at this time.

An officer responded to Walmart, located at 1575 Coshocton Avenue, on an alleged theft complaint. Written statements were obtained. This investigation was forwarded to the Knox County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

December 1
An officer was dispatched to a resident in the 200 block of West Curtis Street for an inactive burglary. A report was taken and an investigation is pending.

Units were dispatched to a business in the industrial park for an unresponsive male. While en route, dispatch advised this is possibly drug-related. Upon arrival, units made contact with the male in the bathroom who appeared to be very lethargic, going in and out of consciousness. The male was holding a lighter and a small piece of aluminum foil with burnt residue was on the ground at the male’s feet. Mount Vernon Fire Department medics arrived on the scene to assist and the male was transported to Knox Community Hospital. A summons in lieu of arrest was issued to the male for possession of drug paraphernalia.

December 2
Units were dispatched to the 100 block of East Ohio Avenue for a theft from a vehicle. A report was taken and an investigation is pending.

Units were dispatched to the Knox County Public Defender’s Office located at 110 East High Street to take a report on theft from a vehicle. A report was taken and an investigation is pending.

December 3
Units responded to Howard Street in reference to a possible drug overdose.

An officer responded to North Sandusky Street in reference to a counterfeit bill. The bill was collected and a report was taken. Nothing further at this time.

Units were dispatched to Rent2Own, located at 1411 Coshocton Avenue for a theft report. An investigation is pending.

December 4
An officer was dispatched to a residence on Ridgewood Avenue in reference to a theft complaint.

While officers were in the area of Buckeye Alley and North Harrison Street, a suspicious person was observed. This incident was investigated. Nothing further.

An officer was dispatched to Jefferson Street in reference to a theft from a vehicle. A report was taken. Nothing further at this time.

Melvin J. Yoder was cited for failing to stop/non working signal.

Sharon L. Johnstone was cited for failing to stop/non working signal.

Bryce J. Williamson was cited for expired license plates.
