Offenses

October 26
An officer was dispatched to handle a call over the phone regarding a civil matter. The incident was investigated for domestic violence. A report was taken. No charges have been filed.

An officer spoke with a female on the phone in reference to a civil matter. The female reported that her ex-husband, who she has a protection order against, sent her a test message this afternoon. A report was taken and will be forwarded to the City Law Director’s Office for review.

October 27
An officer was dispatched to an injured deer near the Mount Vernon Nazarene campus on Martinsburg Road. The officer located the deer and dispatched it using one round from his duty pistol. The college maintenance department disposed of the deer. Nothing further to report.

An officer responded to the City Law Director’s Office in reference to a complaint. The investigation continues.

October 28
An officer responded to KCH to collect found marijuana, possibly laced with fentanyl.

October 29
Units responded to a drug overdose in the area of the intersection of Phillips Drive and South Main Street. One male was transported to DECH for treatment and care. He was issued a summons in leiu of arrest for possession of drug abuse instruments.

Hunter Clemons was arrested for domestic violence after he was involved in a physical altercation with his parent at a residence on North Mulberry Street. Hunter was transported to the jail where he was released into their custody. A report was filed.

An officer was dispatched to Wendy’s at 522 South Main Street for a female causing a disturbance.

October 30
Units responded to North McKenzie Street in reference to a dog at large
complaint. After further investigation, the dog owner was issued a citation.

Units were dispatched to the 900 block of South Main Street in reference to domestic violence. One male subject was arrested and transported to the Knox County Jail.

October 27
Wilburn S. West Jr. was cited for expired or unlawful license plates.
Stephen E. Deshong was cited for DUS 12-point suspension.
Valerie K. Healy was cited for driving under an FRA suspension.
William L. Atherton Jr. was cited for driving under an FRA suspension.
Angela D. Birchfield was cited for failure to reinstate.

October 28
Hunter Norman was cited for temp permit without a licensed driver.
Mark L. Smith was cited for starting and backing vehicles.
Race L. McCluggage was cited for an oversize/weight vehicle on local streets.
Ethan A. Silliman was cited for leaving the scene of a property accident, reckless operation of a vehicle, and DUS 12-point suspension.
Dennis M. DeWitt was cited for operation at a stop sign.
Anderson M. Rearick IV was cited for failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead.
Margie E. Bell was cited for an improper left turn at an intersection.

October 29
Jesenia I. Montalvo was cited for failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead.
Sarah R. Hartley was cited for driving in marked/continuous lines.
Cyia M. Baker was cited for failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead.
Ethan L. Hammond was cited for a dog running at large.

October 30
Mark E. Hauger was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead, DUS Driving under OVI suspension, OVI – at least .08 but less than .17 of alcohol per 210 liters of breath, OVI – under the influence and operation at a stop sign.
Matthew D. Alvarez was cited for driving under an FRA suspension.
Jeremy A. Morris was charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and obstructing official business.
Jeffery Cunningham was charged with possessing drug abuse instruments.
