August 11
Deputies were notified by the Mount Vernon PD that a bicycle that was on scene of a burglary on Broadway Street earlier in the day was stolen from another location. Deputies collected photographs of the stolen bicycle and the owner of the bike came to the scene and collected it.

Deputies were dispatched to an inactive burglary. Deputies responded, took photographs, and advice was given to the victim/complainants. A report was completed for documentation.

Deputies were dispatched to and address on Broadway Street in Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050 on an active burglary. Deputies arrived on scene and cleared the residence. The complainant replaced the lock on the front door. Deputies logged a chainsaw, lawn mower, and tricycle that was on the property that the complainant advised was not there the day before.

Deputies were dispatched on a welfare check of a female who made possible suicidal threats. Deputies made contact with the female and she denied having any suicidal ideations. A report was completed for documentation.

August 12
Deputies responded to an active burglary taking place on Columbus Road. When deputies arrived, the caller stated a male ran into the wooded area behind the house prior to the deputies arrival. Deputies then searched the woods and surrounding areas and was unable to locate the suspect. A report was filled for this incident.
