August 10
A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle for a moving violation. After observing physical indicators, a K-9 Deputy was called to the scene to perform a free air sniff of the vehicle. The K-9 handler advised that the K-9 gave a positive indication for possible drugs and paraphernalia. The driver and passenger were arrested and held at the Knox County Jail. This investigation is ongoing.

A complainant came to report an assault that occurred just outside of the property lines of his previous place of employment. A deputy completed a report to be sent to the City Law Director for review.

A complainant called to report that a former employee was harassing current staff members via telecommunications and was harassing current staff members just outside of the business’s property lines. A report was completed for documentation.

A complainant reported a disturbance. Deputies responded and separated the parties.

A complainant called to report that unknown person(s) had entered his garage at his property and removed several items between Sunday 8/7/22 and Wednesday 8/10/22.

A juvenile complainant advised his mother and soon to be step-father were verbally fighting. The male left the residence and a report was taken.

While on Patrol, a Deputy located a leaf blower on the highway. The leaf blower was collected and placed into the Sheriff’s Office evidence/property pending the identity of the owner.
