Offenses

August 4
An officer spoke with a complainant by phone in reference to the theft of a catalytic converter.

Units were dispatched to South Main Street for a male that was in an altercation with a Mount Vernon City employee. Nothing further.

August 5
Units responded to McGibney Road, in reference to a burglary. This incident is currently under investigation.

A female came into the Mount Vernon Police Department lobby to report a theft.

A traffic stop was conducted and drugs were seized. Drugs will be tested prior to charges being issued.

A female who lives on Monroe Street reported that she is being harassed by an ex-boyfriend. A report was filed.

August 6
A resident from the 900 block of East High Street reported that his electric bicycle had been stolen off his front porch. The suspect is unknown at this time.

A male reported that items were stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at a business on Coshocton Avenue. No suspects at this time. A report was filed.

An officer responded to the 200 block of Newark Road in reference to a theft complaint. A report was taken to document the incident.

August 7
Officers responded to an address on Ames Street, on a report of a physical altercation that involved family members. Kayelynn M. Cooper was found to be the aggressor and was arrested for domestic violence and assault. She was placed into handcuffs that were gapped and double locked. She was transported to the jail without further incident. A report was filed.

John A. Lowe III was charged with open liquor container.
Gregory L. Hyatt was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Mathew P. Williamson was cited for driving under suspension/revocation.

August 5
Mindy S. Ferrell was cited for expired license plates.
James R. Martin was cited for expired license plates.

August 6
Austin D. Schnars was charged with obstructing official business and was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Joseph C. Ramsey was charged with obstructing official business.
Lexus A. Robinson was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Danessa D. Brady was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.

August 7
Regan Shaw was charged with resisting arrest and juvenile offenses.
