July 29
A victim/complainant called to report a domestic violence incident. Deputies responded and made contact with the victim/complainant. The male half was arrested for domestic violence and assault.

July 30
A Knox County Sheriff’s Office deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on Harcourt Road. During the investigation, the deputy determined the driver was impaired and had crashed at an unknown location. Officers with the Mount Vernon Police Department located the crash scene on Banning Road and requested deputies to assist. Upon arrival, deputies were able to determine that this was the crash scene based on evidence at the location. The driver was subsequently arrested for operating a motor vehicle while impaired and issued several traffic citations as a result of the crash.

Licking County called and requested that a deputy due a welfare check on an individual because a complainant reported that he made suicidal remarks. Deputies responded and made contact with the individual at his residence. The individual advised that he was not suicidal. The individual was uncooperative and did not want to talk to Law Enforcement. He refused to have any further conversation with Law Enforcement and went back into the house. A report was completed for documentation.

Deputies were dispatched to Martinsburg Road on a domestic violence. The complainant stated that her son was smashing everything on the patio. Deputies spoke with all parties and an arrest was made. Nothing further at this time.

July 31
Deputies were dispatched to Howard on a domestic violence. The complainant stated he was assaulted by his girlfriend. This incident is under investigation. Nothing further at this time.

A deputy was dispatched to Danville on a civil matter. The complainant stated that her daughter’s father wasn’t returning the daughter to the complainant’s residents. A report was taken to document the civil matter. Nothing further at this time.

A complainant advised she was assaulted by the suspect while trying to separate their dogs that were fighting.

A complainant advised someone entered her vehicle at the Knox County Fair and stole her purse.

A fire was reported at a Chestnut Ridge residence. Deputies and the Eastern Knox County Fire departments responded. A deputy arrived on the scene and extinguished the flame with a fire extinguisher. The fire was contained to a stove which caught fire during the cleaning function. The owner of the residence forgot to remove a cooking pan which caused the fire. The Eastern Knox County Fire personnel arrived and began to ventilate the smoke from the residence.
