Youth Anglers to Receive T-Shirt and Backpack

The Knox County Park District could not do programs or events without the support of local sponsors. We value these partnerships we create with our community. On Saturday, we will be presenting our youth anglers who participated in our Keepin it Reel, Igniting a Spark for Mental Health and Suicide Awareness Fishing Tournament with a very cool t-shirt and backpack. These shirts are compliments of the Knox County Community Health Center, Knox Public Health – Mount Vernon, Ohio, National Alliance Mental Health of Knox and Licking Counties, Knox County Park District and Igniting A Spark to Prevent Suicide, Inc. We also thank the Kokosing Valley Jr Anglers for sponsoring the tournament prizes.
Mental Health continues to rise for all ages and our local sponsors are passionate about educating the public on where individuals can go to seek help and signs you might observe of someone with this health condition. It is important for us as a community to raise awareness and help a neighbor or student in need. We have an awesome group of partners and we look forward to working with them in the future.
Thank you to those youth anglers who are participating in our drive-thru event which include, Laura and Charlie Page, Dax Sabo, James Cooper, Bentlee Elliott, Parker and Paxton Fairall, Jacob and Hannah Berisford, John and Jackson Flack, Landon Groff, Anthony Sparks, and Sloan McGhee.
