Offenses

June 29
Units responded to a traffic complaint at Taylor Road and Follin Avenue.

Units were dispatched to the 300 block of East Ohio Avenue in reference to a disturbance. Jared E. Walker was issued a summons in lieu of arrest, for aggravated menacing.

June 30
A business on West High Street reported a shoplifting that involved a female who was identified as Ashely Doyle. Ashley was found to take merchandise from the business without paying for it. A report was filed.

A male who lives on North Gay Street reported a the from his residence. No suspects at this time. A report was filed.

July 1
An officer was checking the area of 175 South Norton Street (Ariel Foundation Park). The officer made contact with an individual who was determined to be under the influence of alcohol and under the age of 21.
Charges were filed.

an officer responded to the Super 8 MOtel on a parking complaint. The vehicle was impounded by On the Spot Towing & REco very and secured at their facility. No charges were filed and this investigation is closed.

July 2
An officer observed an individual trespassing on the railroad tracks behind 311 South Mechanic Street. The subject was arrested and transported to jail. Nothing further at this time.

Units responded to the 600 block of West Gambier Street to investigate a complaint involving a Juvenile. A report was taken to be sent to the City Prosecutor.

July 3
Units were dispatched to Lowe’s for vandalism to a vehicle. Nothing further.

An officer responded to Martinsburg Road in reference to a suspicious person. The subject was not located. Nothing further.

July 4
An officer was dispatched to the Town Center at 600 West High Street for a theft.

Officers responded to West Curtis Street on a report of domestic violence. Upon the officers arrival, Noah Skaggs was found to be the aggressor and was arrested for domestic violence and transported to the jail. A report was filed.

July 5
Units responded to Walmart, 1575 Coshocton Avenue in reference to a female shoplifting. The female was located, given a summons and released.

Jamie L. Shoemaker was cited for OVI – methamphetamine and OVI – marijuana metabolite.
Philip D. Hicks was cited for 25mph except State Route outside business districts and alleys.

Owen T. Laipply was cited for drive onto road/duty to yield.

Thomas B. Ward was cited for white light on front/visible 500 feet.

Owen A. Williams was cited for improper left turn at intersection.

Robert W. Wolf was cited for expired license plates.

James W. Johnson was charged with falsification, criminal trespass, illegal use or possession of drugs and possession of drugs.
John J. Schade was cited for operator’s license required and fictitious plates.
Charles R. Shay Jr. was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
