Sex Offenders Sentenced to Prison

On Thursday, Judge Richard Wetzel sentenced two Knox County men to prison for sex offenses.

Andrew Cook, 41, of Mount Vernon was sentenced to an 8-12 year term in prison after being convicted of rape at a jury trial. He will have to register as a sex offender for life and will have a 5-year term of parole supervision after prison release.
Colton Flynn, 25, of Mount Vernon was sentenced to 15 months in prison after pleading guilty to one count of gross sexual imposition, a fourth-degree felony. In 2019, Flynn licked the foot of a juvenile on the Pleasant Street School playground for the purpose of his own sexual gratification. He will register as a sex offender for 15 years and have a 5-year term of parole supervision after prison release.
