KPH Currently out of At-Home COVID-19 Test Kits

10/6/2021 – Knox Public Health has announced the agency is temporarily out of free, at-home COVID-19 rapid test kits. KPH has ordered more test kits and expects to have them available later this week.

In the meantime, local residents seeking rapid test kits for COVID-19 should check with local pharmacies or Knox Community Hospital.

Since Aug. 30, Knox Public Health has distributed more than 3,500 free at-home test kits for COVID-19.

PCR testing for COVID-19 – which involves a nasal swab analyzed at a lab – is available by appointment at the Community Health Center, which is located inside the health department. Test results are usually available in 72 hrs. To make an appointment, call 740-399-8008.
