September 17
Deputies responded to the area of Granville Road for found drug paraphernalia. Used needles were collected and placed into evidence for destruction.

September 18
A deputy was dispatched to South Adams Street on a report of a female trespassing on private property.

A deputy was dispatched to Davis Street on a report of found property.

A complainant contacted Knox County Sheriff’s Office regarding a pink and black Huffy bike that was pulled from the river.

A complainant advised their boat trailer license plate was stolen from the Apple Valley Marina. The license plate was placed into L.E.A.D.S. (Law Enforcement Automated Data System) as stolen.

September 19
A deputy was dispatched on a medical run to North Preston Street in Centerburg regarding a juvenile who ingested drugs.

Scott Vance was located and arrested on an outstanding warrant issued from the Mount Vernon Municipal Court.

A complainant advised there was an injured deer at the incident location. The deer was located and dispatched.

September 20
A vehicle was reported to have struck a pole in the area of East Gambier Street and South Gay Street with unknown injuries to the occupant. A deputy close by responded to the scene and observed a male passed out in the driver’s seat with the vehicle still running. Mount Vernon Police Officers also responded to the scene. Field sobriety tests were conducted and the driver, Cameron Haignere, was arrested for OVI after failing the tests. Haignere was transported to the Knox County Jail for further testing then released to his father.

Kenyon College Campus Safety advised they found a marijuana smoking device. A deputy responded and collected the item then placed it into evidence for destruction.
