Offenses

June 9
An officer was dispatched to the West Towne Center on Newark Road in reference to a theft from a vehicle.

An officer was dispatched to The Main Place in reference to a suspicious person.

A female reported that her daughter’s vehicle had been broken into overnight on East Burgess Street.

June 10
An officer responded to the Mount Vernon Police Department in reference to an individual receiving threatening text messages.

An officer responded to East Sugar Street on a report of a stolen vehicle. A report was filed for this alleged incident. The vehicle was entered into L.E.A.D.S. as stolen.

An officer was dispatched to a business on Coshocton Avenue in reference to a theft complaint. The complainant stated that a male stole her wallet off of the counter. The male then left in a vehicle westbound on Coshocton Avenue. An investigation is pending and will be supplemented with any new information.

June 11
Officers received a call in reference to a disturbance on East Hamtramck Street. Upon arrival, a male was arrested and taken to the cruiser where a squad was called to treat facial injuries from head-butting the glass on the door. A written statement was given to the victim to complete. The male was transported to the hospital and then to the Knox County Jail.

A theft was reported on West Parrot Street. A complaint advised that someone removed the catalytic converter from a company vehicle while it was parked at the reported address. The converter was removed from a 2015 Ford box truck. The complainant said that the incident occurred between Wednesday, June 9, 2021, and Friday, June 11, 2021.

June 12
An officer was dispatched to Randy Drive for a disturbance. Frankie Perez was arrested and charged with domestic violence and assault.

June 13
Units were dispatched to the 100 block of East Burgess Street for a disturbance. Upon arrival, an officer spoke to the complainant who advised that his girlfriend, Crystal, had struck him in the face multiple times and kicked him in the chest. Crystal was secured in handcuffs, in the front position, gapped appropriately and double-locked. Crystal was transported to the Knox County Jail where she was incarcerated and charged with domestic violence and assault.

An officer was dispatched to Beech Street for a suspicious vehicle. Katherine Hadnot was issued a citation for driving under suspension.

Sherry S. Cullison was cited for changing lanes without safety.
Paul T. Snyder was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.

June 11
Melissa E. Davis was cited for driving under an FRA suspension.
Kyle B. Bell was cited for operation at a stop sign.
Stephen Underwood was charged with aggravated burglary.

June 12
Tyler J. Bauer was cited for OVI.
Dana G. Menke a failure to register bicycle and ride on right/obey traffic rules.
James D. Fawcett was cited for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.
Demetrius McCaulley was cited for operation at a stop sign.
Frankie A. Perez was charged with assault and domestic violence.

June 13
Jeremy L. Hayes was cited for failure to register a bicycle and red reflector on rear.
Christopher J. Trice was cited for failure to register a bicycle and ride on right/obey traffic rules.
Brian K. Hunter was cited for driving under an FRA suspension.
Curtis L. Wade was cited for failure to register a bicycle and ride on right/obey traffic rules.
Katherine L. Hadnot was cited for driving under an FRA suspension.
Jeffrey A. Petrey was cited for red reflector on rear.
Gregg I. Young was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
