Troopers Seize $7,150 Worth of Suspected Cocaine and Marijuana in Butler County

COLUMBUS – Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers filed felony drug charges against a Georgia man after a stop in Butler County. During the traffic stop, troopers seized 49 grams of suspected cocaine and 215 grams of marijuana worth approximately $7,150.

On May 21, at 12:18 p.m., troopers stopped a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe with Georgia registration for a speed violation on Interstate 75. The driver threw a bag out of the window, fled the scene and a pursuit ensued. The suspect continued to flee before parking his vehicle and fleeing on foot. Troopers located the suspect and took him into custody without incident. Troopers also recovered the black bag that contained a loaded .38 revolver and the contraband.

The suspect, Kilo J. Taylor, 34, Atlanta, was incarcerated in the Butler County Jail and charged with weapons under disability, a third-degree felony, improper handling of a firearm, trafficking in drugs, and fleeing and eluding, all fourth-degree felonies.

If convicted, he could face up to seven years in prison and up to a $25,000 fine.
