The Friends of the Library Book Warehouse will open to the public for the season on Saturday, May 29, from 10 am to 6 pm, at 13081 Coffing Rd, Mount Vernon.
Regular hours will then be Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, 10 am to 6 pm, thru mid-November. The book warehouse is closed Fourth of July weekend and Labor Day weekend.
Shelves have been cleaned and restocked with thousands of new and used books, dvds, cds, cassettes, records, magazines, vhs tapes, puzzles, games and more for all ages. All children under age 18 will receive a free book ticket during each visit.
The popular $5 donation per bag “Stuff It!” sale will continue for the summer. New or clean recycled grocery bags will be provided.
Proper sanitizing and CDC health guidelines will be followed. Donated materials can be dropped off during regular hours.
To volunteer or to sign up for community service credit, stop in. Volunteers of all ages and abilities can set their own hours and help in a variety of ways.
