Grand Jury Issues 11 Indictments



 

Scott E. Vance, 35, of Gambier, was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the second degree, with a firearm specification. Vance was also indicted for having weapons while under disability, a felony of the third degree, with a forfeiture specification. During a traffic stop with MVPD Ptl. Tyler Berger and Det. Jessica Butler, they conducted a probable cause to search the vehicle.  Vance was allegedly in possession of approximately an ounce of methamphetamine and a firearm.

Earl E. Shoults, 57, of Mount Vernon and Holly Daniels, 29, address unknown, were indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree, and possessing drug abuse instruments, a second-degree misdemeanor. During a traffic stop with a K9 search, it is alleged Daniels and Shoults were in possession of methamphetamine and drug abuse instruments at the time of the arrest.

Elija J. Jones, 40, of Mount Vernon, was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the third degree. It is alleged that Jones was in possession of a bulk amount of methamphetamine during a traffic stop with MVPD Ptl. Sarah Wheeler and Ptl. Matt Jones.

Jennifer L. Ward, 41, of Sunbury, was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree.  Ward was discovered to be in possession of alleged methamphetamine during a traffic stop with a K9 search. This case was investigated by MVPD Ptl. Aaron Collins.

Decoda S. Ness, 25, of Mount Vernon, and co-defendant Mendy Jo DeLong, 34, of Mount Vernon, were indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, both felonies of the fifth degree. DeLong was also indicted for possessing drug abuse instruments, a second-degree misdemeanor.  During a traffic stop with Ptl. Matthew McDonald, there was a K9 search conducted on DeLong’s vehicle.  Both Ness and Delong were allegedly in possession of methamphetamine.

Scott A. Llewellyn, 29, of Mount Vernon, was indicted for theft and receiving stolen property, both fifth-degree felonies. It is alleged, Llewellyn had broken into vehicles of different owners and took various items, including a Chromebook and credit cards. This case was investigated by Ptl. Matthew McDonald.

Joshua P. Schorr, 34, of Bellville, was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree, and possessing drug abuse instruments, a second-degree misdemeanor. Due to a suspended license, Dep. Rice conducted a traffic stop with Schorr and K9 Erie conducted a free air sniff. It is alleged Schorr was in possession of methamphetamine and drug abuse instruments at the time of the arrest.

Mary J. Wickline, 50, of Mount Vernon, was indicted for forgery, a felony of the fifth degree. It is alleged Wickline forged a signature on the title of a Polaris Ranger that was reported stolen. This case was investigated by KCSO Det. Terry Wolfe.

Mckenzie L. Wolfe, 20, of Mount Vernon, was indicted for pandering obscenity involving a minor, a felony of the second degree. This case was investigated by MVPD Det. Timothy Arnold.
