An officer was monitoring a known drug area near East High Street and Clinton Street when they observed Kylee S. Miracle walking on the sidewalk with outstanding warrants. Nothing further at this time.
An Officer responded to the Mount Vernon Police Department lobby in reference to vandalism.
An officer was patrolling the area of Sychar Road near Coshocton Avenue. The officer observed a male slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle and proceeded to check him in.
An Officer received a phone call about two stolen bicycles.
An officer was dispatched to West High Street on found property. Upon arrival, a bag containing a white crystalline powder was located and taken to be destroyed. A report was taken.
A female who lives on Quarry Street reported a theft that occurred in March. No suspects at this time. A report was filed.
Officers responded to North McKenzie Street on a report that a
female was struck by a male. Jesse C. Nyhart was charged with domestic violence and assault. Nyhart was transported to the Knox County Jail and left in their care and custody.
A complainant called the Mount Vernon Police Department and advised that her money order was stolen sometimes while at Walmart. The officer contacted Walmart and they stated that they found the money order. The officer contacted the complainant and advised them to go to Walmart to pick it up. Nothing further.

Ronald J. Fowler was cited for drive onto roadway/stop at sidewalk
Chad T. McKnight was charged with possession of drugs and was arrested on an outstanding warrant
Kayla J. Proper was cited for speed
Dylan W. Poff was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead
Jimmy R. Daniel was cited for OVI – .17 or more of alcohol per 210 liters of breath, Operating a motor vehicle without a valid license and driving under OVI – Under the influence
Jeffrey D. Miller was cited for OVI – at least .08 but less than .17 of alcohol per 210 liters of breath, OVI – Under the influence and headlights on vehicles
Victoria Reed was cited for speed
Nicole L. Mitchell was cited for driving under an FRA suspension
