Offenses

March 17
Officers responded to 400 West Chestnut Street on an alleged robbery.
While en route, dispatch advised that the suspect had fled the area on foot toward West High Street and North Sandusky Street. The suspect was located in the immediate area and taken into custody. The suspect was charged with one count of Aggravated Robbery and incarcerated at the Knox County Jail. Items of evidence were recovered and secured by this officer. Written statements and photographs were obtained.

An officer was dispatched to Superior Auto on a report of damage to a vehicle. On scene, a complainant advised that she had a vehicle on her lot that had been damaged. The complainant showed a 2007 Chevrolet 4 door car, orange in color that had damage to the passenger door as well as the key release button under the steering wheel. The complainant is unsure when the damage occurred and management requested a report for documentation and insurance purposes. Report Taken, Nothing Further.

An Officer responded to a residence in the 400 block of North Sandusky Street on a report of found drugs. The drugs were seized and secured in an evidence locker at the Mount Vernon Police Department to be destroyed.

March 18
An Officer responded to the Mount Vernon Police Department, 5 North Gay Street, in reference to a disturbance.

An Officer received a phone call from a resident on Walnut Street in reference to a theft.

March 20
An Officer responded to a reported theft on James Street. Upon arrival, the officer spoke to the complainant, who stated he believes a known male took his wallet from the residence. A written statement was collected and a report was taken. Nothing further to report at this time.

Jade A. Burkett was arrested on an outstanding warrant
Dylan L. Moran was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and OVI – .17 or more of alcohol per 210 liters of breath and was cited for squealing tires/crack exhaust noise

Karen A. Park was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and was cited for driving under suspension

March 21
James E. Summers was cited for operation at a stop sign
Brian K. Beitzel was cited for driving under an FRA suspension
Joshua D. Schoonover was cited for driving under an FRA suspension
