Offenses

March 10
An officer was dispatched to North Mulberry Street near West Burgess Street for domestic violence. Chelsea Crum was arrested and incarcerated at the Knox County Jail.

Officers were dispatched to a West Chestnut Street apartment building multiple times for a disturbance involving Jamie Parker and Jacob Donalon. Jamie and Jacob were warned on their conduct. A short time later, we were dispatched back and they continued with causing a disturbance. Both were issued a summons in lieu of arrest for disorderly conduct/persist; ORC 2917.11(E)(3)(a).

March 11
A male who lives on Calhoun Street reported a theft. No suspects at this time. Report filed.

Dana C. Plant was observed consuming an alcoholic beverage while standing on the sidewalk near the intersection of North Sandusky Street and West Chestnut Street. Dana was issued a summons for an open container. Report filed.

A complainant went to the Mount Vernon Police Department to report fraudulent unemployment compensation. A statement was collected and the complainant was referred to Ohio Job and Family Services Fraud Department.

March 12
An officer responded to the Mount Vernon Police Department, located at 5 North Gay Street, on a theft complaint. A report was filed for the incident.

An officer spoke with a female who advised that her elderly mother had been scammed out of nearly $5,000. A report was filed.

Officers responded to Coshocton Avenue on a welfare check of a male that was in an altered mental state. The male was located walking in the middle of Coshocton Avenue and became aggressive toward the officers on the scene. The male began fighting the officers and was subsequently arrested. The report will be forwarded to the Knox County Prosecutor’s Office for charges.

March 13
An officer responded to an animal bite complaint on Kenyon Street. Animal Control was notified for follow-up.

Officers responded to a disturbance complaint on Commerce Drive. The report will be sent to the Prosecutor’s Office for review.

March 14
An officer responded to a lost/found property call at Knox Community Hospital. The property was put into evidence to be destroyed.

An officer responded to a residence on Chester Street in reference to vandalism.
