March 8
A complainant contacted the Knox County Sheriff’s Office regarding a disturbance and property damage.

March 9
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office was contacted regarding a suicidal female. Deputies responded and transported the female to Knox Community Hospital for voluntary evaluation.

deputies were dispatched to a business in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, for a report of a stolen car. Upon arrival, the Deputy spoke with the victim who said he noticed his truck was taken when he went to go home after work. When he noticed it was gone he went to the neighboring business and asked to see if they had the theft on video. The business did have video and deputies were able to identify the suspect. Several minutes after that Mt. Vernon PD stopped the suspect on an unrelated incident at KFC. Deputies went to KFC and placed the suspect under arrest for theft of a vehicle. The suspect, Christopher C. Nelson, was taken to Knox County Jail without incident. A report was filed.

A victim reported a chainsaw was taken from his barn. A report has been taken for documentation.

A complainant reported observing a vehicle doing “donuts” in the yard of a property he owns. The complainant provided the license plate of the vehicle and requested prosecution.

A complainant called to report finding a 10-year-old boy walking on Columbus Road. A deputy responded and took the boy back to his mother’s house.
