February 19
Deputies were dispatched to a domestic violence call. The complainant reported that her son-in-law assaulted her daughter at the residence. Deputies responded and Jeremiah J Davis was arrested for domestic violence and assault. A report was completed for documentation.

A complainant advised that unknown person(s) filed an unemployment claim in her name without her permission. The complainant notified the Department of Job and Family Services and was given further information on identity fraud.

A complainant advised of a fraud complainant by phone. Dispatch advised that someone had filed an unemployment claim in the victim’s name. The victim was spoken to by phone.

A caller reported that she was scammed out of money for two puppies. The caller was advised to e-mail all correspondence to the Sheriff’s Office and a report was done for documentation.

February 20
A complainant stated that someone had stolen items that were supposed to be delivered to her residence. The complainant requested a report per the post office.

Deputies were dispatched to the area of McLarnan Rod and New Castle Road. the caller advised that a vehicle had been parked in the roadway for approximately one hour. Deputies arrived and made contact with an occupant in the vehicle. the sole occupant did not possess a valid driver’s license and was not from the area. The occupant was unable to make contact with a valid driver. the vehicle was a hazard and therefore was towed.

February 21
Deputies were dispatched to the area of Divelbiss Road on a report of domestic violence. A juvenile suspect was arrested and transported to the Muskingum County Juvenile Detention Center.

Deputies responded to the area of Grand Valley Road, in Howard, on a report of a suspicious vehicle. the vehicle was located and the driver, Barth L Miesse was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
