Governor DeWine Signs Bills Into Law

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)—Ohio Governor Mike DeWine signed the following bills into law yesterday.

House Bill 1, sponsored by Representatives Phil Plummer and Paula Hicks-Hudson, modifies intervention in lieu of conviction/sealing requirements. 

House Bill 210, sponsored by Representative Sara Carruthers, requires the screening of prospective employer for tuberculosis in child care settings. 

House Bill 388, sponsored by Representative Adam Holmes, addresses out-of-network health care. 

House Bill 409, sponsored by Representative Kyle Koehler, modifies attendance and participation standards at computer-based community schools

House Bill 442, sponsored by Representatives Bill Roemer and Thomas West, modifies certified public accountant qualifications. 

House Bill 450, sponsored by Representative Jason Stephens, regards transition of duties of fiscal officers and treasurers. 

House Bill 674, sponsored by Representative Brett Hudson Hillyer, revises liquor laws. 

Senate Bill 9, sponsored by Senator Matt Huffman, releases claim information to group health plan policyholders. 

Senate Bill 10, sponsored by Senator Steve Wilson, expands the penalty for theft in office, and restitution for audit costs. 

Senate Bill 68, sponsored by Senator Sandra Williams, allows community service in lieu of driver reinstatement fee. 

Senate Bill 276, sponsored by Senators Kristina Roegner and Nathan Manning, enacts Ohio Revised Limited Liability Company Act. 

Senate Bill 331, sponsored by Senator Kristina Roegner, implements recommendations of Sunset Review Committee.

House Bill 7, sponsored by Representative Haraz N. Ghanbari and former Representative John Patterson, creates various water quality protection and preservation programs.

House Bill 33, sponsored by Representatives Laura Lanese and Sara Carruthers, establishes animal abuse reporting requirements.

House Bill 32, sponsored by Representative Dick Stein, suggests ceremonial procedures for retiring state flags, and designates four health-related awareness days and months.

House Bill 231, sponsored by former Representative Dave Greenspan, addresses food allergy issues in schools.

Senate Bill 263, sponsored by Senator Bob D. Hackett, prohibits a pharmacy benefit manager from taking certain actions with respect to reimbursements made to health care providers that participate in the federal 340B Drug Pricing Program.
