January 6
A Complainant called the Knox County Sheriff’s Office to report that her adult daughter has been missing for approximately 24 hours. She advised that her daughter has a history of mental illness and made suicidal remarks. Deputies responded and made contact with the complainant. A nationwide BOLO was released for the individual. She was determined to be located by an out of state agency and incarcerated there. The complainant was notified and a report was completed for documentation.

Deputies were called to a residence on Dunham Road in Mount Vernon on a report that a subject was depressed and experiencing suicidal thoughts. Deputies were able to meet with the individual and arrange for them to seek medical care. A report to document the incident was taken.

Deputies were called to a residence on Columbus Road in Mount Vernon on a report of theft from a mailbox. Statements were obtained and a report taken of the incident.

 

January 7
Deputies responded to the Super 8 Motel on Coshocton Avenue in Mount Vernon regarding a call of a burglary at the complainant’s residence. Deputies spoke with the complainant and a report was filed.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on East Sugar Street in Mount Vernon. The driver, William E. Stelzer, was given a written warning for a broken windshield and the passenger was given a citation for underage consumption. A report was filed.
