December 18
Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Columbus Road to assist the Mount Vernon Police Department in a criminal investigation. During the investigation, it was discovered that the subject had threatened serious physical harm to another in a separate but related incident. Jakob M. Tardiff, of Mount Vernon, was arrested and incarcerated on aggravated menacing charges.

A Complainant contacted the Knox County Sheriff’s Office in reference to her granddaughter causing a disturbance at her residence. The granddaughter was transported to Knox Community Hospital for a mental health evaluation.

A vehicle was impounded from private property in Howard per the landowner’s request. The vehicle was towed by Danville Tire to their impound lot with proof of ownership for release.

A complaint was made to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office about possible identity fraud.

Deputies recovered a stolen vehicle from Morrow County at the Kokosing Wildlife area near Yankee Street.

December 19
Deputies were dispatched to a residence on South Hartford Avenue in Centerburg on possible domestic violence. Deputies were able to determine that the victim’s boyfriend had physically assaulted her causing visible minor injuries. The boyfriend, Andrew R. Jacob, was placed under arrest for domestic violence and menacing, then transported to the Knox County Jail without incident. A Temporary Protection Order was put into effect on Jacob.

A Complainant reported that their bank card information had been compromised and unknown person(s) used the information to make a purchase out of state.

A vehicle was impounded from Coshocton Road due to being abandoned on private property. The vehicle was towed by Speedy’s Towing with proof of ownership for release.

A Complainant reported that she was hunting with her grandfather and when she went to check on him, she found him unresponsive.

Deputies were dispatched to Market Street in Martinsburg on an elderly female having a mental crisis. the female was pink-slipped to Knox Community Hospital for a mental evaluation.
