December 5
A Deputy was traveling on Coshocton Road near Grant Road when a deer entered the roadway and struck the side of the deputy’s cruiser. The deer was injured and in the ditch. The deputy used their office issued sidearm to dispatch the deer.

December 7
The Mount Vernon Police Department requested assistance from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office to go to a residence to see if a missing motorcycle was there. A Deputy went to the residence and spoke to the homeowner and during the investigation, the missing motorcycle was in the garage. The Mount Vernon Police Department was advised and the motorcycle was towed to their impound lot for further investigation.

A Deputy was dispatched to West Brooklyn Street in Gambier on a reported theft. Dispatch advised that someone broke into the complainant’s garage and stole a bicycle.
