Office of Criminal Justice Services Seeks Requests for Proposals for Family Violence Prevention Service Act Programs

(COLUMBUS) – The Ohio Department of Public Safety’s Office of Criminal Justice Services (OCJS) released the Federal Violence Prevention Service Act (FVPSA) requests for proposals in an effort to provide funding to victim service providers throughout Ohio.

“We are confident that these FVPSA programs will help provide victims with the protection and services they need to pursue safe and healthy lives,” said OCJS Executive Director Karhlton Moore.

The purpose of the federal FVPSA Program is to support the establishment, maintenance, and expansion of programs and projects to prevent incidents of family violence, domestic violence, and dating violence; provide immediate shelter, supportive services, and access to community-based programs for victims of family violence, domestic violence, or dating violence, and their dependents; and provide specialized services for children exposed to family violence, domestic violence, or dating violence, underserved populations, and victims who are members of racial and ethnic minority populations.

The deadline for submissions is Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020, at 5 p.m. For more information, please visit http://www.ocjs.ohio.gov/.
