The Mount Vernon Municipal Court is recruiting for a Court Security Officer, a full-time position with full benefits.

The Court Security Officer is responsible for maintaining security within the Mount Vernon Municipal Court Building, for Court officials and for those customers utilizing Court related services. The position requires a minimum of a high school education with strong written and verbal communication skills. Current Peace Officer certification through Ohio Peace Officers’ Training Commission is preferred. Must have and maintain a valid Ohio Driver’s License. Candidates for this position must be at least 21 years of age at the time of appointment and be able to pass a drug screen and background check. Compensation is based on experience.
