Grand Jury Indicts Nine

MOUNT VERNON – The Knox County Grand Jury indicted 9 people for felonies on Monday.  According to Knox County Prosecutor Chip McConville, this makes the total number of indictments 249 year-to-date.

Paul Williams, 42, of Howard, was indicted for possession and trafficking in cocaine, both fourth-degree felonies.  He was stopped on September 21 by Mount Vernon police for a traffic violation and found to have drugs in his vehicle after a K9 sniff.  The case was investigated by Ptl. Aaron Collins and Sgt. Rex Young.

Michelle Lockman, 47, of Mount Vernon, was indicted aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony.  Lockman was found to be in possession of methamphetamine after a traffic stop and a K9 sniff by MVPD Ptl. Aaron Collins in August.

 Terra Miller, 35, of Sunbury, was indicted for one count of possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a fourth-degree felony, and one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony.  Miller is alleged to have been in possession of fentanyl and methamphetamine in a Mount Vernon apartment in July.  The case was investigated by MVPD Ptl. Nick Holdren.

Tonia Smith, 44, of Mount Vernon, was indicted for possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree.  Smith was allegedly in possession of unprescribed Suboxone during an encounter with police on September 2. This case was investigated by MVPD Ptl. Sarah Wheeler.

Anna Morris, 37, of Mount Vernon, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance analog, a felony of the fifth degree, and possession of drug abuse instruments, a misdemeanor of the second degree.  Morris was allegedly in possession of spice and syringes at the Shalimar Apartments on April 13.  The case was investigated by MVPD Ptl. James Coffey.

Timothy Carper, 22, of Mount Vernon, was indicted for aggravated possession and aggravated trafficking in drugs, both felonies of the third degree.  Carper was stopped by Knox County Sheriff’s deputies on October 1 in Foundation Park.  He was allegedly in possession of more than six grams of methamphetamine, a digital scale and $1,092 in cash.  The State is seeking forfeiture of the money as drug proceeds.  This case was investigated by Det. Lt. Craig Feeney.

Breanna Davis, 28, of Mount Vernon, was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree.  Knox County Sheriff’s deputies found her in possession of alleged methamphetamine when they arrested her on a warrant on September 9, 2020. This case was investigated by Dep. Like Guthrie.

Christian Robinette, 28, of Mount Vernon, was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree.  Robinette allegedly was in possession of methamphetamine when he was arrested on an open warrant in April. This case was investigated by MVPD Ptl. Austin Johnston.

Nicholas J. Rush, 21, of Pataskala, was indicted for possession of marijuana, a felony of the fifth degree.  Rush was investigated by the State Highway Patrol for his involvement for a one-car crash on Martinsburg Road in July.  In addition to allegedly being under the influence of alcohol, Rush is being charged with possession of about half a pound of marijuana.  This case was investigated by Trooper Colten Riley.
