The Central Ohio Joint Fire District will be accepting applications and conducting candidate physical agility test for the position of Full-Time Firefighter Paramedic. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications to be considered for the examination. An applicant meeting minimum qualifications: must be at least 18 years of age, possess a High school diploma or equivalent, possess a valid Ohio driver’s license, possess State of Ohio Firefighter I & II certification, and an Ohio Paramedic Certification for Full-Time employment. The Fire District serves the residential communities of the Village of Centerburg, Hilliar, Milford, and South Bloomfield Townships and is located 35 miles northeast of Columbus, Ohio. The area is known for its high quality of life, quiet, rural atmosphere, and exemplary school systems. The Central Ohio Joint Fire District is a combination department with 13 career and 7 part-time personnel operating from a recently renovated fire station. The department is a well-respected, full-service agency that provides emergency response services and community outreach to approximately 8,000 residents in a 78 square mile service area.
The testing date will be conducted at Central Ohio Joint Fire District Station 420, 5138 Columbus Road, Centerburg Ohio 43011. Application must include a copy of your Ohio Certifications and Ohio Driver License. The test date will be November 7, 2020, at 09:00. You will be given a written test then a physical ability test. Interviews will be held on November 12th and 13th 2020.
