Knox County Sheriff’s Report – Sep 16, 2020

A Complainant advised that someone had pushed their back door open to their barn but nothing appeared to be missing. The Complainant also advised that a red Polaris Ranger was left abandoned behind their barn that did not belong to them. The Polaris Ranger was found to be a reported stolen vehicle and the owner of the vehicle was contacted picked it up. The incident occurred on September 16th, 2020.

A Witness advised that he observed a male and female being dropped off on the roadway and saw them enter into the woods on a neighboring property. Deputies responded to the area and located the two individuals harvesting ginseng and other plants while trespassing. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources was contacted and also responded to the scene. Robert Caldwell is facing charges with ODNR and drug charges out of the Knox County Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred on September 16th, 2020.
