Knox County Sheriff’s Report – Aug 05, 2020

A Complainant advised that there were juveniles drinking alcohol and jumping off of a dock on their neighbor’s property. The Complainant advised that the property was supposed to be vacant and nobody was supposed to be on the property. Deputies responded and found the four suspects on the dock. The suspects were found to be underage and had been drinking alcohol. The suspect’s parents were contacted and they were released to the custody of their parents. The property owners were contacted and they advised that they wanted to pursue charges for criminal trespass. The incident occurred on August 5th, 2020.
A Deputy was dispatched to Smith Street in Mount Vernon on the report of a male who had a shotgun and his wife was concerned for his mental health. A report was taken and the suspect, Jeremy Huffman of Mount Vernon, was arrested for using weapons while intoxicated on August 5th, 2020.
A Complainant reported that her mother and father were in a physical altercation. Upon investigation, it was discovered the suspect struck her husband and juvenile daughter. Lacy Norris, of Danville, was arrested and charged with two counts of domestic violence on August 5th, 2020.
