It is with a very heavy heart that the Heart of Ohio USA Days committee has to announce the cancellation of the planned “mini-fest” and car show planned to be held on September 12th and 13th.
Multiple factors had to be considered with different issues, including the bridge construction beside the park and the traffic problems related to it, which was of great concern to the village officials. The virus related issues in our state obviously had to be considered as well. We were already exploring other venues and trying to do everything in our power to be able to have this one event but one roadblock after another keeps coming up!
With huge events such as the state fair, quarter horse congress, and other such events cancelling it has reached the point that there just is no other choice. We must take the health of our community into consideration at this time, the mandates of the state of Ohio dictate that this is what we must do. Trust me, we definitely did NOT want to cancel this event!
All events planned for this year’s cancelled event in June will carry over into the 2021 event which will be on June 24, 25, and 26, 2021. The Car Show next year will be on September 12th.
