Governor DeWine Signs Bills Into Laws

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)—Today, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine signed the following bills into laws during a live video conference.

House Bill 16 allows active-duty military personnel and their families, who are stationed in Ohio, in-state college tuition costs versus having to pay out-of-state college tuition.

House Bill 81 provides Workers’ Compensation coverage of post-exposure medical diagnosis services for a detention facility employee’s exposure to another person’s blood or bodily fluids.

House Bill 287 updates Medicaid home and community-based waiver services for relatives of active duty military.

House Bill 285 establishes a permanent Driver’s License Reinstatement Fee Debt Reduction and Amnesty Program.

House Bill 168 creates an affirmative defense that allows a bona fide prospective purchaser (BFPP), if conditions are met, to claim immunity from liability to the state of Ohio for contaminants at a purchases brownfield site.
