Halequins Along Lake Erie

Harlequins have been spotted along the shores of Lake Erie this winter but it won’t be much longer before this species heads north to breeding grounds in the NW Pacific and Eastern Canada.

These critters may be small in stature (about the size of an American crow) but they make up for their petite dimensions with striking good looks! Even the more subtle female is stunning.
