Missing Persons

The Mansfield Division of Police is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Kyla Hayton (W/F, 20 years old) who was reported missing on November 18th, 2019. According to family, Ms. Hayton was last heard from on Saturday, November 16th, 2019 and was believed to be with her boyfriend Todd A. Burkhart (W/M, 28 years old). It was later learned by Mansfield Police detectives that Mr. Burkhart was reported missing to Ashland Police, shortly after Ms. Hayton was reported missing. Attempts to contact either individual has met with negative results.

Mansfield Police has assumed the investigation into both disappearances as it was later discovered that both Ms. Hayton and Mr. Burkhart were living in Mansfield at the time they were reported missing. Family members had advised officers that both subjects were believed to be traveling together to Columbus and possibly, on to Dayton.

Earlier this week, the vehicle both subjects were believed to be driving, was located in Dayton, Ohio and was unoccupied. The vehicle was processed but did not turn up any additional information as to Ms. Hayton or Mr. Burkhart’s whereabouts. The Mansfield Division of Police continues to work diligently with Dayton Police as well as Ashland in an effort to locate these two missing persons.

This is an ongoing active investigation and we are asking that anyone who may have information concerning these two missing persons to contact their local law enforcement agencies and/or Mansfield Police at (419) 755-9724.
