October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Here at the Mount Vernon Law Director’s Office, we believe effective prosecution of domestic violence cases is critical to the safety and well-being of our Knox County community. That’s why our office recently started the Mount Vernon Law Director’s Domestic Violence Special Prosecution Unit. Our DV Unit will allow us to better serve survivors of domestic abuse, work more closely with law enforcement, and raise public awareness.
