A Deputy noticed a deer caught in a fence on Wally Road, Glenmont. An attempt to free the deer was made but its leg was unable to be released. The deer was dispatched with one shot from the Deputy’s duty pistol on January 7th, 2019.

Deputies were dispatched to assist with an active structure fire on a  single-family home on Coshocton Road near Millwood. Assistance was given to the homeowner and her husband was contacted on January 7th, 2019.

A complainant of the 2000 block of Simmons Church Road in Centerburg, called 911 and advised that her brother struck her in the face causing injury to her eye. Statements and photographs were taken. Dennis A Nelson, of Centerburg, was arrested for domestic violence on January 6th, 2019.

A vehicle was stopped for speeding and loud exhaust near the Village of Centerburg. After a probable cause search of the vehicle, marijuana was located. David E Barrett, of Wintersville, was given a citation for possession of a controlled substance on January 6th, 2019.

A complainant, of the 100 block of Cleveland Avenue in Mount Vernon, advised that someone used her PNC Visa Debit card without her permission at two stores on January 3rd, 2019.

A complainant, of the 6000 block of Feasel Road in Mount Vernon, came into the Sheriff’s Office in reference to his chainsaw being stolen. The complainant advised that sometime between December 26th, 2018 and December 29th, 2018, an unknown person stole his Sthil chainsaw from his shed. A statement was filled out and serial and model numbers were provided for the chainsaw. A report was made and the chainsaw was entered into LEADS as stolen.
