Campbell Represents Mount Vernon City Schools In United Way Campaign

Megan CampbellMount Vernon High School Freshman, Megan Campbell has been chosen to represent Mount Vernon in the United Way’s fall campaign “Give Where You Live”. Megan was chosen for her dedication as a volunteer for the United Way and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. She gives her time to volunteering in order to help get books into the homes of young children in Knox County. Imagination Library provides books to children birth to age five. Megan chose to research this wonderful organization as part of a writing project in middle school and quickly fell in love with their values and support to education.

Megan was chosen to be part of the “Give Where You Live” campaign for her dedication to young readers in our community.

“I have a love for reading, and I want to help pass this passion along to younger children,” Megan says.

“ I love being part of the United Way and the Imagination Library, and I am honored to be part of this campaign.” “I cannot say enough how refreshing it is to see our young people take something that they are personally passionate about and transfer that into community outreach , ” said Scott Will, MVHS Principal. “Megan has done a wonderful job of representing herself, her family and the Mount Vernon City School District and community , and we are proud of her efforts!”

Megan is the daughter of Glen and Kristen Campbell.
