Troopers Seize Heroin in Jackson County

Troopers seized $8,400 worth of heroin during a Jackson County traffic stop on August 1. The vehicle was stopped for a speed violation and the smell of raw marijuana was detected. During a pat-down, the suspect fled after troopers felt contraband on his person. While fleeing, he threw the contraband into the grass. He was quickly apprehended and the contraband was located.
