New Guidelines for Coaches, Parents and Student Athletes

Effective for the upcoming school year, The Ohio Department of Education and OHSAA have rolled out new guidelines for all coaches, parents and student-athletes. It is called Sudden Cardiac Arrest (Lindsay’s Law). This will be required on an annual basis for all. It will teach you to know what Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is, what the symptoms are and the immediate action to take in the event a situation would occur. For parents and student-athletes, this training, and the sign off forms will be part of Final Forms. Students will NOT be allowed to participate in any sport until at least one parent or guardian and student have reviewed the video and signed off on the form. If you have any questions, please contact the athletic office.
